Who is Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi?

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is the eldest son of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Empress Farah. Born in 1960, he has spent most of his life in exile — first in the United States — following the 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled his father's government.

Over the decades, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has emerged as one of the most prominent voices calling for a secular, democratic Iran. He advocates for a national referendum to allow the Iranian people to choose their form of government — free from theocratic rule — and supports a transition to a constitutional monarchy or democratic republic, as determined by Iranians themselves.

During the 2022 uprising, he became a central figure in the international pro-democracy coalition, meeting with world leaders and calling for stronger international support for the Iranian people's struggle.

In the shadow of the Islamic Republic's brutal massacre of over 36,500 innocent Iranians in January 2026—part of a regime's genocidal grip that has claimed countless lives—Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi emerges as the indispensable leader to unify a fractured nation and amplify its cry for freedom. As the heir to Iran's pre-revolutionary legacy of progress and secularism, he embodies hope, advocating tirelessly for democracy, human rights, and a constitutional monarchy that respects all ethnicities and faiths. His principled voice cuts through division, rallying exiled activists, protesters, and global allies against the IRGC's terror. Without his steady guidance, the Iranian people's struggle risks fragmentation; with it, they can forge a united front to reclaim their sovereignty and honor the fallen by building a just, prosperous future.

The Four Foundational Principles

We, the participants in the Convention of National Cooperation to Save Iran, convened by Prince Reza Pahlavi in Munich, Germany on July 26, 2025, hereby affirm our collective and unwavering commitment to the following foundational principles:

I

Iran's territorial integrity;

II

Protection of individual liberties and equality of all citizens;

III

Separation of religion and state; and

IV

Iranian people's right to determine the future democratic form of their government.

Bound by a shared vision and a deep sense of responsibility, we pledge to collaborate in support of transition away from the current regime. Our aim is to help lay the groundwork for a democratic, free, strong, and prosperous Iran – one that reflects the will and dignity of its people and reclaims its rightful place in the global community.
